WHO WE ARE: About In Restauro

In Restauro Conservart Inc.
Invest in the future – protect your art collection today !

Established in 1982 and incorporated in 1987, our firm In Restauro Conservart Inc. specializes in offering a variety of services to fine art collectors. From household heirlooms to gallery/museum collections, we have been looking after works of fine art for over 20 years. The firm deals with a wide spectrum of clients (references provided upon request) presenting a broad range of tasks and responsibilities. Our “claim to fame” was restoration of vandalized paintings at the Osgoode Hall, Toronto, (1991) which have been subjects of a TV (CFTO) programme, CBC radio, as well as Toronto daily newspapers.

We are proud to keep abreast with new policies and strategies in the field by participating at national and international conferences as well as attending various workshops.

We specialize in paintings and polychrome sculpture thus assuring the best care possible, implementing the latest scientific innovations in the field. Our approach follows the CAC guidelines [http://www.cac-accr.ca/english/e-CAC-about-Code-of-Ethics.asp] which requires the use of reversible materials and comprehensive documentation. Our documentation includes written condition report, treatment proposal and cost estimate. Upon completion a detailed account of treatment procedure and materials used accompanies any restoration work, which forms important data for future references. All the treatments are photographed and copies are provided for clients upon request.

We meet clients “by appointment only” assuring privacy and sufficient time for consultation. Our “in studio” preliminary examinations are free of charge.
